      My name is Julian Gluck, and I spent 9 years with the U.S. Forest Service—most of that in wildfire, with some time on trail crews. I served the majority of my fire career with the Idaho City Hotshots, where I gained firsthand experience in fire mitigation and structure protection during large, complex wildfires.

Through that work, I developed a deep understanding of Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) operations and the importance of defensible space. Fire mitigation is still a new and growing field, especially in surrounding states, and I'm proud to be one of the first to step into this role professionally.
